Business Valuation Master Class
Part of the CEA Master Class Section
At some point in time, every business owner will ask the question, “How much is my business really worth?”
Performing a business valuation can be beneficial for a small business owner. However, the process of determining the value for a business can be confusing and difficult.
In this CEA Master Class, we cover the established standards and techniques, including examples showing how to reach a reasonable value for a company. We even discuss the methodology of how the IRS places a value on a business.
This course is designed to be especially useful for those participants with an accounting background, but suitable to all CEA advisors. After this class you should be able to:
- Define the key elements of a valuation engagement
- Understand the major approaches to valuing a business, including the AICPA and the IRS standards
